NBA all-time great pats himself on the back for the Cavaliers’ success

The Cleveland Cavaliers currently sit at 34-6 and are tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the best record in the NBA. Although there is plenty of credit to go around, there is one person who possesses the go and the unmitigated gall to take credit for the historic pace the Cavs are on, and it is not Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, or Evan Mobley, but rather LeBron James.

Yes, you read that right, LeBron James.

In a recent appearance on “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce” James was asked about the success of his former team, the current L. A. Laker said “The Cavs look amazing right now. They got another opportunity. [and] I hope they keep it going. They got an opportunity to do something special. I’m glad I was able to put on first, set the trend, and hopefully, we keep it going.”

Per his modus operandi, LeBron has managed to take a situation that had nothing to do with him and somehow place himself at its epicenter. His need to consistently wedge himself into discussions that otherwise have nothing to him to siphon off the attention and any corresponding adulation to himself borders on pathological. James’ Unicron-sized ego cannot handle praise bestowed upon anyone save himself. This egotistical nature also bears itself out in James’ style of play, which consistently has shown to have a deleterious effect on every other player but those not named LeBron James.

It takes a Super Saiyan 3 level of delusion and cranium up one’s rectum to take credit for the success of a franchise that you haven’t suited up for in seven seasons.

Should the Cavaliers win the NBA Championship this season, LeBron will likely expect to receive a championship ring as well. It is these caliber of antics that has caused some fans to tire of LeBron and other still to more eagerly anticipate the day when the all-time great will finally hang them up for good.
